Chances Are Looking Good For Another Season Of ‘Gilmore Girls’

The finale ofGilmore Girls: A Year In The Life left us hanging on to a major cliffhanger over a year ago: “I’m pregnant,” Rory said to her mom before the show cut to credits.

The abrupt ending left us with so many questions, but there might be a new glimmer of hope for those who having been praying for the possibility of more episodes – and answers.

The creator of the series, Amy Sherman-Palladino, recently revealed that if the concept is right, she has the power to produce it. While she recently signed a deal with Amazon for The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, she told the Radio Times that she was very careful and clear with her terms.

“We carved out a little niche for ourselves with Amazon saying that if we ever want to do it, if the girls and us get together and we have a concept that works, then we have the freedom to do it,” she said in an interview. “So it would just have to be the right circumstances, and that we’re all sort of in the same drunken mood together to go repaint Stars Hollow again. Because we had to repaint Stars Hollow, and we’ll have to repaint it again. ”

While this may sound like a farfetched idea, she confirmed that “it’s definitely possible. ” Sherman-Palladino has kept in touch with Lauren Graham, Kelly Bishop, and Alexis Bledel and has since developed her own personal relationships with each of them. So, someone give the girls some wine and a paintbrush, please!

Plus, filming the revival was a totally different and less frantic experience than filming the original show. “In coming back together, and knowing also that it wasn’t going on for like, ten years, we had a different kind of work structure where we could actually hang out on set and talk. ”

Since the first revival was such a hit, here’s to hoping they decide to go for round two. While nothing is confirmed, we’ll keep our fingers crossed for a return to Stars Hollow sometime soon.
