Barbie fever is heating up ahead of the Barbie film release this summer, and there’s no denying it’s impact on beauty trends. But ‘Barbie glow blush’ is the delicate accent we spotted if you want to lean into the movement without committing to full-on statement pink lips, false lashes or peroxide hair.
It was introduced to us by makeup artist, Nam Vo, whose signature “dewy dumpling” glowy complexions put glazed skin on the map before Hailey Bieber sent donut skin stratospheric.
Posting a video to her Instagram titled “Barbie doll dewy cheeks” Nam showed followers how to incorporate Barbie pink cheeks into your glam in the most soft, subtle, sheer way, creating the prettiest “flushed, but fresh” finish.
There’s just one catch. Her caption let’s slip that one of the products she used is no longer available. “@fentybeauty we love you please bring back this blush! ! ! ! ” she wrote.
Starting off the video, Nam pleaded: “don’t get mad at me dumplings but how beautiful is this Fenty Barbie-looking blush. Let’s just take a moment to appreciate these cheeks because I have sad news. Fenty I love you but why did you discontinue this blush, it’s so beautiful. » In case you’re wondering, she revealed the shade on screen as the Fenty’s Bikini Martini. She followed up asking, “anyways anybody know of any other dupes? ” While it’s not a dead ringer (being slightly warmer and a tiny bit darker than Bikini Martini), Fenty’s Crush On Cupid is a close match.

However, the secret to getting the freshest looking finish on cheeks, is to mix it with some illuminator to sheer it out. Nam added a pump of Kevyn Aucoin’s Glass Glow Face in the shade Pixie Dream (a lilac pink with silver and white shimmer), then using her finger, swirled in some of the creamy Fenty Cheeks Out Freestyle Blush in Bikini Martini to make the glowiest, dewy cheek moment. She applied using her fingers to swirl and pat the blush into cheekbones for a seamless flush.

So, if you want to tap into Barbiecore beauty, but you’re more of a minimalist, this Barbie glow blush may be right up your street.
