Ashley Graham is pregnant! The model announced the news on Instagram with a sweet video of her and husband Justin Ervin. “Surprise,” the couple said as the video zoomed in on her bump.
Her filmmaker husband also shared the news with an adorable snap of the couple holding up a photo from their baby scan. “To my forever love and my daily inspiration. This is the first child for Ashley, 31, and Justin who married nine years ago after meeting in a church in New York.
The Sports Illustrated model and body positive pioneer hinted at motherhood and the experience of bringing up a mixed raced child in an interview with Allure back in June. “I want to know as much as I can as a white woman who is going to be raising black children,” she stated. “We’re going to have to have that conversation of ‘Mommy’s white, Daddy’s black,’ and I want to be prepared. ”
Ashley has regularly opened up about the difficulties her and Justin have faced as an interracial couple. Most shockingly, the runway model revealed her husband was “spat on” due to his race when they went on holiday to Italy in 2018.
It is unknown how far along Ashley is in her pregnancy but she looks positively glowing.
