Alicia Vikander may play the rough-and-tumble action hero Lara Croft in her new film “Tomb Raider,” but at the red carpet premiere in London last night, she put forth a much sweeter image.

Wearing a custom floral Louis Vuitton dress with diamond-encrusted Dauphin jewelry and simple strappy heels, Vikander looked a far cry from her bow-and-arrow-wielding character.
Behold: red eyeliner!
From afar, her red-carpet makeup seemed quite tame — glowing skin, peachy lips — but closer inspection revealed a hint of red under her cat-eye eyeliner, applied by her makeup artist Kelly Cornwell.
Combined with a sectioned, rope-like ponytail featuring multiple elastics styled (the work of hairstylist George Northwood), the beauty look felt sophisticated and subtly unexpected.
