P arfyum legend, perfume, classic, aroma aphrodisiac, warming toilet water to cold water and perfume at all times: BeautyHack editors have tried over 100 fragrances and chose those that your world will never be the same again.
Perfumery water Café Intense, Montale
I admit honestly: I never drink coffee with sugar and do not wash down desserts with this drink. The taste and smell of coffee is very precious to me, and I do not want to interrupt it with anything . But perfume is an exception.
The sweetness with which this fragrance is diluted does not make it cloying. From the first zilch you feel a rich coffee smell, but it is successfully seasoned with a sweetish amber-vanilla chord: as if vanilla cheesecake comes in addition to an espresso cup.
There are floral notes in the composition – it seems to me a garden of fragrant red roses. It is known that perfume inspired by acquaintance in a small cafe on the waterfront in Paris. That is why Café Intense has turned out so romantic, warm and sensual.
By the way, very persistent: one of the few flavors that lasts all day. And if you, in principle, like coffee notes in perfumery, then read the material of our columnist, perfumery critic Ksenia Golovanov about the best in this category.
Eau de Parfum Mojave Ghost, Byredo
In recent years, I have become an ardent fan of niche perfumery: one bottle can replace an entire collection. The brand Byredo attracted me for a long time: minimalistic bottles, magnetic caps, organic font and perfect compositions – perfectionism can be traced throughout.
Not surprising – the creator of the brand hails from Sweden. But before the creation of the first collection, he saw everything: the modern and fast rhythm of New York, Toronto’s endurance and the diversity of Stockholm. Remember how Brian Molko sang in the song “Stockholm Syndrome”? The same can be said about the “author” of perfumes.
Compositions beckon you like a drug. But the Stockholm syndrome has nothing to do with it – your love will be mutual. I spent about 4 hours at the corner and eventually settled on one of the most controversial scents, which was named after the ghost of the Mojave Desert.
Open Google and see pictures of the territory in southern California: it’s easy to get lost in a variety of landscapes. Sun-drenched dunes, mountains in a light haze and shrubs in the rays of sunset – this is all the same place. There is no life for kilometers around – only very resistant trees and vegetation that remembers dinosaurs survive. Well, how can I not start a ghost?
He is in the desert and the truth is – the so-called flower, which has found a way to survive in dry land in hot climates. Petals are almost transparent – in the heat haze seem almost unreal. The flower manages not only to survive, but also to attract bees for pollination. Unique plant! The composition of the fragrance is dedicated to him.
If you are fascinated by the East and in a past life were the third wife of an Arab sheikh, but the suffocating notes that the mysterious ladies in the veil love so much cause a coughing fit, pay attention to Mojave Ghost. The aroma composition is oriental, but not heavy. It is based on the unique notes of shea tree and noble amber, which is framed by sandalwood and the luxury of southern flowers.
From the first notes it seems that the perfume is elusive. I desperately sniffed at the blotter and could not catch a single note, but the white strip still smelled of something intoxicating. Put a fragrance on the skin and clearly felt a pear with honey, which is wrapped in amber. Later, the perfume was opened with cedar with notes of violet, but on the consultant it sounded completely different.
She carried the box with a scent home as a secret that I will not show anyone. I apply aroma when I want to become invisible: to dissolve in the city and not to lose myself is a very difficult task, but with this aroma you will succeed.
Perfumery water Calaluna, Bvlgari Le Gemme
Have you ever fallen in love with a separate perfume, but with the whole line at once? I am a selective parfmaniac, but I could not resist the Le Gemme collection from Bvlgari. Each fragrance is inspired by a precious stone – amethyst, citrine, pink tourmaline, turquoise – it is not surprising that they want to be collected and stored carefully.
But the most beloved was Calaluna – a fragrance without belonging to the floor, time of day, season. In a black matte bottle in the form of an ancient amphora – not just a perfume, but a magic elixir that can change the mood. One click on the golden batcher – and you are not a sleepy and gloomy man who cuts puddles with ankle boots on the way to work, but an elegant feminine lady languidly hiding behind an umbrella. The “fault” is the moonstone, the symbol of Calaluna. It brings harmony to life and raises the mood better than an aromatherapy session at the spa.
Kalaluna is a bay in Sardinia: there the sky-blue water gives the sand a milky moon shade. It was this landscape that inspired the perfumer Daniel Roche-Andrie – she mixed notes of sandalwood, heliotrope, cardamom and amber, and then added a creamy chord of pear and milk. Light, tender, sensual – these epithets come to mind when you hear the top notes of the fragrance.
Time passes, and sandalwood begins to sound more aggressively, but still soft. For me personally, this is the perfect fragrance and under a long silk dress, and under a cozy cashmere sweater – in any case, you feel mysterious, sexy and feminine.
Perfumery water Twilly, Hermes
Appearance is deceptive, and the aroma of Twilly from Hermes is a direct confirmation of this. Pink fragrant liquid in a cute bottle with a cap in the form of a cap – a multi-faceted extravaganza. As bright as the Venice Carnival, and as unusual and bold as the young Freddie Mercury.
Christine Nazhel managed to create a fragrance that sounds louder than Bohemian Rhapsody. In it the burning ginger, warming in the winter evenings, together with citrus and bergamot. Apply the fragrance and hear how interesting it is.
First, you will smell the juicy Sicilian mandarin giving way to the intoxicating notes of tuberose and jasmine. The final chord is honey hop, vanilla and sandalwood.
Last year, Twilly more than once recognized the best flavor of the year: he became the hero of every second review in gloss and pressed many on the shelves of spoiled bloggers. Winter is the best time to try the creation of Kristin Nagel and make room for him on the dresser.
Perfumery water Fabulous, Tom Ford
The novelty with a provocative name in a matte black bottle, resembling a chess piece, immediately attracts attention.
The aroma with notes of bitter almond oil, tonka bean, nutmeg sage oil, fresh lavender, leather chords and violet root is impossible not to fall in love at first sight – that’s why it is “Fabulous”. Tom Ford himself comments on the name of the novelty: “I prefer to express my thoughts directly and appreciate simplicity”. Straightforward, frank and exclusive fragrance will be a great complement to your look at the evening event. By the way, he is very persistent: he will stay with you for the whole party and stay until the morning.
Perfumery water Love Poison, Boadicea The Victorious
Boadicea The Victorious is a British perfume brand that celebrates its anniversary this year: it turns 10 years old. Named after the Celtic queen, Boudika. Known for strong compositions that are hidden in crystal bottles: they are decorated with round silver shields with Celtic ornaments. Love Potion is the creation of the brilliant perfumer Christian Provenzano and the favorite fragrance of BeautyHack Editor Karina Andreeva: “Love Poison is an intoxicating and sensual fragrance, a gourmet flower and fruit arrangement. First you hear notes of bergamot, cinnamon, cumin and red berries, then Egyptian jasmine and a Turkish rose. Perfume is diluted with chords of bourbon vanilla, raspberry, sandalwood and amber. Take into account: the aroma is persistent – it will last at least 4-5 hours with you, enveloping you in a sensual haze of vanilla and amber. ”
Perfumery water Gabrielle, Chanel
In the perfume line Chanel, everyone will find their own iconic fragrance: someone will fall in love with elegant No. 5, others will like light and fresh Chance, and I will love Gabrielle. If you like the perfume a la “I just got out of the shower,” pay attention to it.
Last year, the House of Chanel presented the long-awaited fragrance dedicated to Gabrielle Chanel – it was the first perfume created by Olivier Polzher from scratch after a fifteen-year break on the flanker.
Kristen Stewart became the face of the fragrance – read the details here .
Gentle tropical jasmine, sensual ylang-ylang, Russian tuberose and orange flowers are harmoniously combined in a perfumery composition, making it very light and fresh. This is exactly how a clean body smells after a shower – I enhance this composition with the same name moisturizing emulsion from the bath collection.
The fragrance seems to radiate sunlight, and the minimalist vial that is classic for Chanel confirms this. And this is exactly the perfume that is really revealed only on the skin: tuberose is clearly heard in the bottle, but after applying on the pulsating points, the main roles are given to ylang-ylang and fresh orange blossom.
Gucci Toilet Water Guilty, Gucci
I first met the bewitching scent, enclosed in a gold-cut, at the end of 2011: the New Year’s disco in school, where my older sister was collecting me. Her cosmetic bag became for me a fifteen-year subject of particular interest. Among the countless vials and tubes found a real bar of gold. It was as if I had learned the biggest secret, and revealed this secret for many years after.
Created perfume legendary Aurelien Guichard, on account of which hundreds of fragrances brands Mugler, Azzaro, Shiseido, and, of course, Gucci. With every chord of every perfume, he inspires us to be happy and to be ourselves.
For 7 years, the smell of perfume excites me and shakes to the depths of the soul. Put a drop on your wrist and a few drops on yourself – you will feel welcome, daring, luxurious: everything is in Gucci style.
Top citrus notes refresh the composition: mandarin and bergamot chords are diluted with pink pepper. Perfume opens, and you feel fruit notes: peach, jasmine, black currant, geranium and lilac.
In the heart of the bouquet – patchouli, white musk, amber and sweet vanilla. Bright, bold and at the same time quite subtle, feminine fragrance plays with colors, fruits and sweet, but not cloying notes.
I am very attached to this fragrance, it awakens in me that same femininity, which is called fatal – I want to put on a gold dress in sequins, throw a boyfriend’s leather jacket and make the world crazy.
Perfumery The Only One, Dolce Gabbana water
You may decide that the composition of this fragrance should be more famous composition of the brand The One. But if you are not familiar with the perfumery creations of the brand, I advise you to start with the newer The Only One (Emilia Clark sang so sweetly about him in the Italian trattoria).
For me, this is the olfactory quintessence of Italy: without screaming notes, but with charming and attractive chords. Just listen to the aroma (sounds like an Italian song – soulful, sweet and enchanting). Powdered violet is replaced by citrus bergamot, then coffee, toffee and patchouli. Not cloyingly sweet and subjectively refreshing: from the first chords I feel mint, fresh, juicy, with chill.
But in fairness, I confess – in an hour and a half all the freshness retires. “Mix” patchouli and violet leaves no chance as other notes, and other flavors nearby.
Colorful perfume, “burgeoning” on the skin and as if bursting with health. It is about soft, soft enjoyment every minute (you can “catch” this state even in the megalopolis). And absolutely all-season! Now I enjoy smelling on my favorite sweater, and in summer I’ll take a vacation.
Aroma Paris-Deauville, Chanel
We all remember the beautiful and tragic love story of Coco Chanel, which began in Deauville (by the way, it was there that her first boutique appeared).
The free resort of Normandy was the perfect place to instill in Parisians (and then girls all over the world) the spirit of freedom – the creator of the brand forgot about the corset and rode in a blouse with an open neck.
Olivier Polzh, in turn, wanted to give citizens the opportunity to escape from the stuffy city and show what freedom can be.
The aroma is permeated with notes of greenery like the rustling of grass in the morning – the chords of orange peel mixed with basil. Next comes the note of orange oil, merging with jasmine – the floral heart of fragrance. A note of patchouli gives the flavor a vintage hue (recalling how Coco Chanel herself loved freedom).
Flavor L’Interdit, Givenchy
Loved the fragrance in the old version. I am true to any of my choices and wept very bitterly when it was taken out of production. This fall, the legend has returned – I immediately went to the store and bought the largest bottle.
Hubert de Givenchy created a composition along with one of the main beauties of the epoch – Audrey Hepburn (you can read about other symbols of the century here ).
According to legend, the founder of the House presented this fragrance to the actress, and Audrey herself came up with a name for him. Hubert asked if he could present the fragrance in his boutiques, and Audrey jokingly replied: “I forbid.”
The response of the actress half a century ago laid the foundation of the new version: the contrast of sweet floral notes and noble tree, framed with patchouli chords, can not only restore the taste for life and help you feel complete freedom, but also force you to break existing rules and boundaries, yielding to forbidden emotions and feelings .
New classics created perfumers fashion house Dominic Ropion, Ann Flipo and Fanny Bel. The bouquet cannot be understood from the first breath: the orange flowers dissolve in tuberose, but it does not “clog” all the air. After a couple of minutes, vetwiver and patchouli come into effect – perfume as if envelops you from head to toe. The composition is very plume – the aroma rests firmly on the body, clothes and surrounds you, forcing passersby to turn around.
You can fall in love with the scent from the first notes – a sweet smell with a hint of Eastern traditions is revealed with slightly bitter chords, with which you want to do everything – create, love, conquer and just live.
Eau de Parfum Signature Eau de Parfum, Chloé
My first acquaintance with the fragrances of the Chloé brand took place 8 years ago. It was a gift from dad – perforated water Chloé Love in a precious golden bubble. With the first zilch, my attitude towards the perfumery world has changed: all the light, fresh and citrus aromas faded into the background, and I fell in love with the complex, tart and intoxicating. And Chloé knows a lot about these.
The fragrance is enclosed in a minimalist bubble with gilding (with time it does not wear off). The package is decorated with a playful beige bow, nothing superfluous: the most interesting is inside.
Spray from the first click creates an alluring flower cloud. The first notes are very delicate, like a floral peony. A few minutes later, the bouquet opens: a rose turns your head, a spring magnolia makes you fall in love, and lilies of the valley make the fragrance exquisite.
The sharpness of the composition gives the base notes – cedar and amber.
The aroma is pleasant to feel in any weather, but it is especially good when it rains: the humidity mixes with all the notes of the composition and forms a real magic cloud around you.
Perfumery water Oud Silk Mood, Maison Francis Kurkdjian
This perfumery water will make you look at the oriental woody scents in a new way. Six years ago, Francis Kyurkjyan, perfumer and creator of the brand, turned his attention to the notes of Ud wood – typical chords of representatives of the Oriental fragrance family, and made the whole world look at these notes in a new way. He gave them “Western” motifs, adding to it accents on the olakhak notes of rose, vanilla and patchouli.
Only when looking at the bottle, you immerse yourself in the tales of the east – it looks like a precious vessel or a small oriental palace (and the fact that it is made of dark glass is not only a design decision – the fragrance needs protection from direct sunlight). Perfume does not “crush” a typical heavy oriental composition. When applied, you can smell the rose, which reveals a light plume of bergamot and floral notes. In the fragrance itself there is a balance between the mysterious east and the progressive west – an Arabian princess and a business woman from Wall Street could wear perfume. Best of all, the fragrance stays with you all day and gently wraps you like silk.
Honey Crocus Cologne , Jo Malone
At the heart of the aroma from Jo Malone are the chords of honey that take us to the apiary or to visit your favorite friends over a cup of fragrant tea. The active sweet note is diluted with flowers of crocus and traditional English lavender. The aroma opens with light notes of almond milk, preserving the sweetness of honey and presenting it from a new, unusual side.
Perfume could well be suitable for cozy evenings reading a favorite book, if not for lavender – it was not for nothing that they called it the grass of love in antiquity. According to legend, even Cleopatra used this fragrance to seduce Julius Caesar. So feel free to go on a date with Honey Crocus and conquer a man with elegant sensuality and a gentle smile.
Perfumery water Hermessence Ambre Narguile, Hermes
This fragrance is the creation of the famous French perfumer Jean-Claude Ellen. He created it in 2004. A truly warming perfume with oriental notes is warm and passionate. First you smell cinnamon, then sweet aromas of honey and caramel sound in unison. The burning chord of the rum – and Ambre Narguile becomes more intense and sensual.
Among the notes are also musk, vanilla, tonka bean, sesame, white orchid. Will appeal to those who love sweet, very sweet, perfumes!
Perfumery water Tiangou, Boadicea The Victorious
Christian Provenzano is one of the leading perfumers in the world. He has an unqualified reputation for creating original and successful compositions for the most famous brands. This year, he presented the exclusive TIANGOU fragrance from Boadicea The Victorious.
New brand perfume dubbed the talisman of 2018 – limited Tiangou during the whole of 2018 will be presented only in Russia. It has not been without a legend – the scent is inspired by the celestial dog Tiango, which defeats dragons and causes a solar eclipse. However, he could not outshine the glow of the bottle – on the precious bottle in the center of the golden weaving this mythical creature flaunts. And the perfumery composition of oriental spices, damask roses and woody hearts is softened by the delightful amber and noble vanilla trail.
Perfume Chanel No 5, Chanel
The history of Chanel No. 5 began long before my birth. “The fragrance smelling of a woman” was created by the talented perfumer Ernest Bo in 1921. Experimenting with aldehydes, he gave Coco a choice of ten options. “Let it be the fifth,” the legend replied, and the scent got the same name. Since then, the tart Chanel No. 5 with bergamot and lemon in the upper perfume notes, jasmine and rose in the middle, sandalwood and musk in the base appeared on the shelf of every socialite. For as long as I can remember, there was always a bottle with a yellowish-orange liquid on my mother’s dressing table. Every morning she made a few clicks on the sprayer, and the room was filled with a familiar, “native” smell.
For me, he was special. As soon as he caught his nose in the corridor of the kindergarten, into which I was able to give only the third time, I jumped up from the chair and ran to meet my mother. I accurately knew how to distinguish Chanel No. 5 from the smell of other moms. She fell asleep with him – holding a book with a fairy tale, her wrists still smelled and woke up. Today, this fragrance is on my shelf. Every time I do not have enough warmth and a sense of security, I take out a “medicinal” bottle. A little bit of Chanel No. 5, and immediately there is a feeling that a close person is somewhere nearby: he will enter the room right now, take his hand and we will happily go home, leaving all the delights of an adult, independent life in another reality.
Toilet water Mon Paris, Yves Saint Laurent
Brand fragrances accompany me all my life. I remember the sweet notes of Cinema, which I woke up in childhood: this meant that my mother went to work. Parisienne – my first “adult” perfume: at the age of 14 she applied a scent on herself and felt very feminine. My first bottle of Black Opium in the first year when I got a job. Manifesto is the sweetest winter: an intoxicating feeling of love, a cold wind, tingling in the body and a heartbeat that drowns out all the noise around.
Mon Paris is the only perfume that was not in my collection. But I propose to try it to everyone who starts to get acquainted with the brand’s compositions (or the world of perfume, in principle).
The fragrance appeared in June of this year – the recycled version of perfumery water has only become better: in my opinion, more sensual. The composition is played with notes of white jasmine, tuberose and white peony. Brightness added to the flavor of bergamot, raspberry and black currant. Sweet and fresh at the same time – it happens. But perfume is heard not as simple water – you feel like a woman with it. Suitable for any lady: a fatal beauty, like Monica Bellucci in the film Malena, the mysterious young lady from Amelie, the desperate lady from Gone with the Wind and the simple Moscow lady who expects only the best from life.
Perfumery water Aventus for Her, Creed
Looking around the ranks of the Printemps cosmetics and perfumery department in search of a gift for my mother, I met a consultant who handed me a coveted blotter with gold letters. And it was love from the first breath. In the description of this fragrance you will find a beautiful phrase that very clearly describes the state of a girl proudly carrying this fragrance: “Resolute, unapproachable and proud – these women strive for everything themselves. Rapidly achieving their goals, they leave behind only a fruit plume, intoxicating to goosebumps … “.
Inside the bottle you will find a bouquet of patchouli, green apple, bergamot, pink pepper, musk and amber. Any fragrance for me is an association with travel and a certain moment of life. And Creed replenished the piggy bank of sweet memorable moments. Now it is forever the beloved and desirable smell, which from one spraying is able to transfer me to the summer of 2016 in a wonderful warm Paris.
Toilet water Daisy Black Edition, Marc Jacobs
This version is a deluxe version of the classic Daisy perfume. Bright, but unobtrusive, recognizable, but not annoying. Absolutely universal aroma for any season, mood and occasion.
Any fragrance can be divided into notes: top note (the fragrance that you hear 5-15 minutes after application), the note of the core of the perfume (30 minutes-a few hours after the top notes evaporate) and the base note (6-20 hours).
In Daisy, this separation feels very “tasty.” First – grapefruit and strawberries, in the heart – jasmine and gardenia, and the base – musk, vanilla and white wood. All this makes the perfume very organic for both daytime and evening out. The fragrance is definitely worth a try, especially if you like oriental floral chords.
Perfumery Black Opium Sound Illusion, Yves Saint Laurent
In 2018, the messenger of the legendary aroma of Black Opium became Zoe Kravitz. A resident of a megapolis, each exit of which causes a storm of emotions in others, in a promorolike 29-year-old Zoe is rocker-cool and incredibly attractive! It is in the style of Yves Saint Laurent. In 1978, he organized an “opium” party on the deck of a pirate ship in honor of his legendary fragrance. By the way, then Opium was banned in Australia, Saudi Arabia and China.
New Limited Black Opium Sound Illusion is enclosed in a new bottle with a shimmering equalizer (Lenny’s dad would appreciate it!), But retained the main gourmet chords: warming coffee, aphrodisiac notes vanilla and jasmine, as well as true oriental patchouli, cloves and amber.
Perfumery Si Passione, Giorgio Armani
Persons Si Passione – Cate Blanchett, Sarah Sampayo and Avdoa Aboa. This is the perfect trio to present a “strong and independent” flavor: “A light and sensual perfume reveals notes of black currant, but then pear chords sound in unison with it. A little later, you begin to distinguish the aromas of jasmine and rose petals.
The top note of Si Passione – pink pepper – dilutes the floral and fruit composition. Perfect for every day: not too harsh and cloying, but at the same time resistant!
Eau de toilette Poison Girl Unexpected, Dior
For 33 years, Dior released more than 5 variations of the classic Poison – the first legendary fragrance appeared in 1985. Poison Girl Unexpected was invented by the leading perfumer of the House of Dior, François Demachy, playing on the contrast of fruit notes with “sour” and sensual chords. Simply put: rose, jasmine, tanzanian ginger, red orange and lemon – the personification of the spirit of rebellion and temptation!
Perfumery Carnal Flower, Frédéric Malle
Frederick Mall created the fragrance for two years, working side by side with another perfumer – Dominique Ropion. This legendary alliance is already 30 years old, and one of the reasons for joint pride is Carnal Flower (Frederic himself told this in an interview with BeautyHack). And the chapter in Frederick Mall’s book On the Creation of Fragrances is devoted to this fragrance.
“Sensual flower” is the most modern perception of tuberose in perfumery. Rich, but natural, passionate, but not depraved – all due to the combination of the purest aroma of tuberose with citrus and eucalyptus notes.
Perfumery water Manifesto, Yves Saint Laurent
The aura of crafty coquetry is what awaits you after a couple of clicks on the luxurious bottle of Manifesto. Perfume is associated with the first love and butterflies in the stomach, fluttering when he takes you by the hand. This fragrance is ideal for dating, and here’s why.
In the top notes, black currant, bergamot and greens are clearly audible, thanks to them Manifesto does not “stifle” spicy orientalism, but still envelops with warmth. In the heart of the fragrance is aphrodisiac jasmine sambac (such is poetry), and in the base is white cedar and sandalwood . By the way, cedar is considered a female aphrodisiac, which is why it is often added to men’s fragrance. So do not be surprised if you catch the admiring glances of both genders.
Toilet water Love in Idleness, Atkinsons
Atkisons – British perfume brand with a history of 200 years. And very interesting! In 1799, James Atkinsons, a merchant from Cumberland, came to London and decided to open a store with incense and cosmetics – he thought up the recipe for them. At the entrance to the store was a big-very big bear, which immediately attracted the attention of passersby. By the way, this beast eventually became a brand symbol. High society representatives especially appreciated the fragrant pink scent of balsam made from bear fat. Then James began to invent colognes, which eventually forced out even the fashionable Italian in those days. Fresh, but at the same time warm and spicy smell everyone liked. And once he was caught and King George IV. He was so delighted that Atkinsons made him the official perfumer of the Royal Court of England.
I started my acquaintance with a no less warm scent – Love in Idleness toilet water. I was still working in the magazine Allure and I remember how a beautiful big purple bottle with a magic elixir was in my hands inside: it was love at first sight and at first spraying. I remember how I felt a violet scent combined with the smell of iris and raspberry. By the way, among the notes there are patchouli, and moss, and heliotrope. Eau de toilette is quite resistant – if I put it in the morning, until the evening a pleasant train is held. The fragrance is inspired by my favorite Shakespeare play “A Midsummer Night’s Dream.”
Toilet water Replica Lipstick On, Maison Margiela
The whole Replica series of the brand is beautiful, in my opinion, but my favorite is the scent of lipstick. It smells really like vintage grandmother’s lipstick – sweetish iris powder.
The mood of Lipstick On creates something special – the very thing when you put on make-up as a weapon and for self-expression, you are not afraid of bright and rich colors and do not strive for naturalness. Although I am sure, the aroma will seem to many to be very gentle and calm, but for me everything is different.
Cologne Iris Rebelle, Atelier Cologne
The French perfume brand Atelier Cologne appeared in 2009. Its creators are husband and wife Silva Gunter and Christopher Servasel. The concept of fragrances involves the use of components of high concentration. This year they personally came to Moscow to present a novelty, and the space in which the presentation took place was designed in the style of their Paris office.
The novelty, Iris Rebelle, is a powdery, airy scent that, from the first “pshika”, transfers to a blooming garden. It reveals notes of iris, lavender, may rose, which are complemented by Calabrian bergamot, orange color, black pepper, white musk and patchouli. Before the eyes emerges the image of an elegant ballerina who quickly and easily performs pirouettes. The fragrance will remind you of warm, spring and summer days in cold autumn – you must take it!
Perfumery water Proposal, HFC
A young perfumer of the brand Vinsan Rikor arrived to present the novelty: the event was held in the luxurious Spiridonov mansion in the center of Moscow. Rose petals on the main staircase, artificial sakura trees are elegant, gentle and fresh. This is exactly the brand new fragrance – despite the abundance of fresh notes of bergamot and jasmine, it opens very easily and gently.
Sweet (but not cloying!) Chords of almonds, lychee and black currant complement this sound. My Proposal is associated with summer Paris (and not only because the famous illustrator from New York Megan Hess came up with a picture for a bottle where a young girl in a lush pink dress with her back with a big lush bow stands against the background of the Eiffel Tower): the novelty is mentally transfers to blooming Jardin du Luxembourg.
Alien Toilet Water, Thierry Mugler
The first legendary “newcomer” French Fashion House released in 2005, followed by a series of reissues. The last two appeared this year – Man for men and flower Flora Futura. But acquaintance with the aroma must begin with the basics – the first Alien with woody and jasmine notes. Jasmine – this is the first thing you feel, breathing in the scent.
Amber and woody chords will unfold a little later. Anastasia Lyagushkina, a BeautyHack project manager, confidently distinguishes citrus, although it is not stated in the pyramid. Jasmine, lilac, iron notes, tobacco – with the right application (you need it quite a bit) the train will be magical!
The Scent Private Accord For Him and The Scent Private Accord For Her, Hugo Boss
The traditional update of the famous series The Scent. Last year, the brand introduced rich aromas with the prefix “intense” (for more details about them – here ), and this went further: Private Accord turned out to be even more sensual and “sweet”. Bright perfumery note of the renewed male fragrance – mocha, in the female sweet mandarin, cocoa and fragrant osmanthus flower.
Before you go for a new part-find, look at the promo-video with new faces of Private Accord Jamie Dornan and Birgit Kos, shot at the Heydar Aliyev Center in Baku – sensually, fresh and understandable without words!
Perfumery water Narciso Eau De Parfum Rouge, Narciso Rodriguez
So simple: Narciso created a fragrance to arouse passion. The fragrance of Eau De Parfum Rouge combines subtle notes of femininity with slightly more pronounced chords of sexuality. It lays down on the skin with a light weightless “handkerchief”, leaving no heavy plume and aftertaste.
The “heart” of the fragrance is musk, which is felt immediately after application. And then the extravaganza begins! Notes of tender iris and Bulgarian rose are mentally transferred to blooming “honey” gardens. Perfect for oversize leather jackets, cashmere coats and elegant dresses – complete any look!
Toilet water Terre De Lumiere L’eau, L’Occitane
Like its predecessor ( we wrote about it here ), this one is also dedicated to Provence. Only if the previous eau de toilette is rather an ode to sunset, sweet and sweet, like honey (one of the main notes), then the new fragrance of L’eau is entirely devoted to a transparent morning.
It captures a floral arrangement with notes of peony, which are muffled by bergamot, black currant leaves and pink pepper. It turns out a lighter, more sensual mix that will definitely help you through the winter!
Perfumery water Lovely Me, Liu Jo
For me, there has always been a clear separation – there are brands that produce clothes, there are brands that are strong in perfumery. Liu Jo has always been one of my favorite brands of clothing, but this is also the case when, together with a new dress, I left the store with a new scent. As a rule, all brand perfumes complement the image of tenderness and femininity, and Lovely Me is direct evidence of this. Blooming, inspiring, refined – the first words that come to mind when you listen to a novelty.
It reveals the sweet-fruity notes of apple and raspberry, which perfectly complements the chord of bergamot. The fragrance will appeal to those who love flower and fruit: here are orange and jasmine petals and tuberose. Lovely Me warms with its refined combination of cedar and amber, seasoned with the final and very unexpected chord of salted popcorn. Separate aesthetic pleasure – a bottle of pale pink glass with a monogram L * J and a pendant in the shape of a golden flower.
Perfumery water Rose Orage, Chabaud
Sophie Shabo, the creator of the brand, of the new collection of fragrances said: “This is a kind of olfactory landscapes of my memories associated with the most expensive places, situations and traditions of the countries I visited”. Interesting fact, but after listening to the aroma of Rose Orange, I also seemed to be transferred to a virtual journey. Before my eyes, I immediately saw a field of blooming roses, onto which sunlight, which appeared after a shower, falls.
By the way, Rose Orange is a flower during a thunderstorm. In the heart of the fragrance – a combination of geraniums and roses. They are diluted with fruit notes – raspberry and black currant, which complement nutmeg and pink pepper. When the fragrance opens, a patchouli plume, heliotrope, remains, an amber chord is felt.
Perfumery water Lady Million Lucky, Paco Rabanne
“He’s so lucky, she’s a star,” the girls will think to themselves, quoting the song of the same name by Britney Spears, after meeting the new fragrance Paco Rabanne. This is the flanker of the famous Lady Million perfume, which was conceived as a fragrance for brave girls who feel like a million – no less. All Paco Rabanne perfumery launches remind dresses of a famous designer, bright, unlike anything, but they are ideal for almost everyone and are even addictive.
Lady Million Lucky has become more fresh and sensual – an appetizing cocktail of raspberries and honey is now complemented by velvety woody notes and hints of hazelnuts. And in the heart of the fragrance – the fragrance of pink buds.
Perfumery water spray Allure Homme Sport, Chanel
This year, the men’s fragrance is 14 years old. For all this time, Allure Homme Sport has never had to lie on the shelves – an army of fans still lining up behind a branded portion of sweet orange and red Italian mandarin. Further – more: Moroccan cypress and resistant musky plume. Chanel prudently called Homme Sport water-spray, hinting at the fact that they can “pour”, not being tormented by torments of conscience.
Perfumery water Farenheit , Dior
A bottle is the first thing you notice. Fiery black is associated with passion and sensuality. Aroma warming: a combination of violets, leather and Bourbon vanilla attract with its warmth and pleasant sweetness. East-woody, will appeal to those who love persistent perfumes, which after a few hours leave a trail and do not leave you until the evening. Ideally complement the image of a purposeful man who is not afraid to take risks and fearlessly moves towards change.
Eau de Parfum 212 VIP Black, Carolina Herrera
You inhale the aroma, and before your eyes a closed party appears somewhere on the roof of one of the skyscrapers of New York. It is not without reason that there is an inscription on the package: “Are you on the list?”. The aroma is intoxicating with a note of absinthe diluted with fennel, musk, lavender and vanilla. Refers to fougerny wood. Perfume for a real man – confident, charming and charismatic.
Perfumery water Pure XS For Him, Paco Rabanne
A truly sexy and sensual scent. Just imagine a man who is used to getting what he needs. He has everything and even more. And it is not just like that! The creators of the fragrance see the hero, personifying the composition, a rich and beautiful young man who grew up in a neo-gothic family house and from early childhood was surrounded by works of high art. And his life itself is genuine art.
Aroma with oriental notes, but quite fresh. First you feel the ginger, in unison which thyme begins to sound. Notes of cinnamon, vanilla, liquor and musk intoxicate, and myrrh, sprinkled with sugar, warms (as if this man puts you in a strong hug). Delight!
Perfumery Acqua di Gio Absolu, Giorgio Armani
The first fragrance Acqua di Gio was released in 1995, and since then the line has been actively replenished. The author of the first creations – male and female perfume – was Alberto Morijas, and this year he presented his new work.
The new men’s edition of Absolu evokes associations with a house on the seashore, the sound of waves, grains of sand on a wooden veranda and a warm, salty breeze. The originators of such images were sea notes and patchouli, which make the fragrance very manly and elegant. This chord is intertwined with bergamot, rosemary, lavender and geranium, as well as amber crab and tonka bean in the base – that men who enjoy unity with nature will not like. They will also appreciate the amber bottle with a lid of natural ash, which continue the water-wood theme of the novelty.
Flavor L’Homme Cologne Bleue, YSL Beauté
From the first notes you imagine a mystery man: he suddenly appears and disappears, carefully keeps his secrets, from which it becomes even more desirable.
This summer, the brand complements the line of men’s fragrances YSL Beauté with a new version of the perfume L’Homme. From the first notes of L’Homme Cologne Bleue you imagine a mystery man: he suddenly appears and disappears, carefully keeps his secrets, from which it becomes even more desirable.
New fragrance – the present embodiment of controversy. In its notes elegance and brutality, elegance and a man’s core organically coexist. Perfume remains true to its first notes, but it clearly feels the chords of the ocean and freedom, complemented by freshness and serenity.
Red orange, tangerine and bergamot cause a rush of endorphins and resemble love at first sight and until the last breath. Perfume reveals tart notes of black pepper and cardamom, which give it a piquancy.
But in the aroma there is also a serene calm and confidence (like in the ocean during calm) – a bunch of apples, geraniums and lavender seem to immerse you in warm water, carrying you to the far shore with a calm and confident flow of water. A jump from a cliff is a chord of patchouli and sandalwood essential oil (after all, your man is the master of his emotions, who knows how to risk, but does not lose self-control and elegance).
Special attention is given to a bottle of glass of turquoise color, which resembles the endless ocean waters, and the hexagonal cap makes it clear that before you is part of the cult heritage of the perfumery House.
Toilet water Gentleman, Givenchy
The flavor is based on an unusual combination of spices and patchouli notes. Undoubtedly, such a composition would add a little audacity to the elegant image of any gentleman . The perfume as if says: “I am free from all clichés and just enjoy life.”
At the very heart of the composition are the chords of iris and lavender, which smoothly flow into the sweet pear, hinting at the nobility of the soul and openness. The modern man is equally gentle and courageous, self-confident and accepts himself as he is. Brand managed to create a fragrance that fully embodies this image – it is floral and woody, simple and complex, but it cannot but draw attention to itself !
The bottle of new fragrance is very showy, but concise – like the style of a real gentleman . The design of the bottle perfectly complements its image, emphasizing the contrast between tenderness and courage.
Eau de Toilette 1 Million Lucky, Paco Rabanne
Men can also feel like a million – a new interpretation has received a flavor of 1 Million. In the gold bar mixed notes of white cedar, Kashmir wood, ozone, plum and honey – eau de toilette is a little like its “predecessor”. Sultry floral and fuzzy chords were replaced by a strict perfume composition – what you need to give a strong man even more confidence.
