29 Winter Whites For Your Cold-Weather Portfolio

Despite being a colour typically associated with summer fashion, winter whites are a thing and we’re ever so slightly obsessed. There’s nothing as chic as going top-to-toe tonal, and, while black will never fail us, white is its crispier, more glamorous sister.

It would appear that Giambattista Valli, Christian Dior, Jacquemus and Miu Miu are in total agreement, too, with more than a handful of winter white outfits having walked down their autumn/winter 2022 runways (not to mention the street style looks that were spotted around said shows).

If snowy ensembles are ‘in’ according to Fashion’s most eminent names, then who are we to argue?

13 fashion trends that will be everywhere this year (including one super romantic look you might want to trial for Valentine’s Day)

We know what you’re thinking: how does one wear such a hue without looking like the Abominable Snowman? And, won’t it be grubby within seconds of wearing it? Well, while we’d strongly recommend you maybe skip out on your usual soup lunch from Pret, winter whites are actually way more wearable than you’d think.

You don’t have to go totally monochrome, either, if the thought of that induces your spill anxiety a little too much. You can incorporate the stark colour little by little through accessories like a white tote bag à la Chloé, some cream knee high boots like these from Monki, or by opting for a white blazer or winter coat to contrast the rest of your look. Mango’s wool terry outerwear silhouette is top of our payday wishlist.

On that note, it goes without saying of course that you should shop your own wardrobe before splurging on items you likely already have. Take a peak inside your winter fashion collection and we bet you’ll be surprised at just how much white is in there (it does go with everything, after all). Tear up the ‘seasonal’ rule book and put down the black: white is your new best friend.
