There’s something strangely uplifting about putting a real outfit together, never mind actually wearing it. Daydreaming about whether or not a certain shaped trouser leg would go with the puffed-sleeve of your new favourite top, or whether a dress would be appropriate for both the officeandthe bar.
We even miss clothing store changing rooms, and we certainly never thought we’d say that.
A month or so ago we thought we’d hit the sartorial jackpot, having discovered endless tracksuit bottoms stuffed in the back of our wardrobes and *actually* being able to wear them to work. ‘To work’ meaning, of course, at our kitchen table.
But what feels like an inordinate number of weeks later, joggers, hoodies, tracksuits, leisurewear, ‘athleisure’ – whatever you want to call the comfies we’ve been lounging about in since mid-March – feel a bit, well, unappealing.
Thankfully, it seems we may actually be past the peak of the Coronavirus pandemic in the UK, with whispers of a lift on lockdown heard around every corner.
But what will you wear for your first foray back into the real world? You may well miss putting together an outfit, but have you considered whether you actually know how to do that any more?
Fear not, because we’ve teamed up with high street hero Reserved and done the hard graft for you.
Thanks to this epic new-season collection – which is peppered with 100% eco-friendly pieces made using a whole host of incredible, innovative fabrics (including recycled plastic bottles and even wood pulp) – you can update your PLW (that’s Post-Lockdown Wardrobe) as well as your WFH one, in one in one fell swoop.
Whether you’re looking for a monumentally Instagrammable look for your first night *out* out (aren’t we all? ), or a smattering of WFH-friendly day dresses and jeans, we’ve got you covered. We’ve even got a couple of looks up our sleeve should you be plotting a whole new office-wear aesthetic.
Hey, there’s no harm in a little forward-planning escapism, is there?
