When I met up with tastemaker Kim Cam Jones to write a profile on her earlier this year, I was intrigued to hear that she was launching a platform to partner with and support emerging designers. But it wasn’t until after the story had been written and published that I actually got to see the fruit of Jones’s labor with the platform she calls The Fore.
Fast forward a few months, and I can now confidently say that the first collection launched on The Fore is just as good as one would expect from a street-style maven like Jones. These earrings, named for the artist Ellsworth Kelly, would be my first pick from Jones’s collaboration with Filipino jeweler Ken Samudio. I love that the pieces are customizable — the white shapes can be attached and detached to create different looks — and that the shape and color are bold while still being pretty timeless. With a first launch this cool, I can’t wait to see what Jones turns out next.
The 531 Kelly earrings, $245, available here.
