Explaining the model’s work-out style, Ms Parker said: ‘My team are focusing on cardio-conditioning – where we work multiple muscle groups at once.

‘The benefits include keeping all the muscles engaged, whilst gently elevating heart rate to keep up cardiovascular fitness. ’

Stability is key

Stability is another key component of the routine. Ms Parker explains that muscles like the glutes are vital in stabilising the pelvis.

She stresses that it’s important to train muscle groups ‘such as arms and upper back to ensure good posture while breastfeeding’ as it can take its toll.

A ‘wonderful’ client

Speaking of Vogue’s enthusiasm as a client, Ms Parker said: ‘She’s a wonderful, committed and devoted client and a pleasure to look after.

‘Vogue came to us fit and she’s a determined cookie, but she’s listening to her body, eating beautifully and making sure she has rest days.

‘She’s a busy workload and so it’s important she feels her best and has the energy to keep up with her life.

‘I’ve no doubt that she will bounce back – she’s genetically blessed as any one can see – but she works consistently for it too. ’

Ms Parker, who has also helped Hollywood actress Emma Thompson to lose weight and get fit, said the ante natal programmes are ‘entirely bespoke’.

She told MailOnline the classes are based entirely on the expectant mother ‘and how she is feeling in any given week’.

HOW IS VOGUE STAYING FIT DURING PREGNANCY?

Louise Parker, dubbed the ‘figure magician’, today revealed Vogue Williams is undergoing a signature ante natal training class at her boutique physique in Knightsbridge.

Vogue only began training after her initial morning sickness symptoms subsided, Ms Parker, a mother-of-three, told MailOnline.

Stability is another key component of the routine. Ms Parker explains that muscles like the glutes are vital in stabilising the pelvis.

She stress that it’s important to train muscle groups ‘such as arms and upper back to ensure good posture whilst breastfeeding can take its toll’.

The classes, held at the Wellness Clinic in Harrods, Knightsbridge, are a led by registered dietitians who advise pregnant women on what to eat.

Ms Parker revealed training while pregnant requires an extra level of care.

She said: ‘Simply put, you tone and sculpt and don’t have to do extra cardio on the side and its essential we keep a close eye on her heart rate.

‘We’re very used to this and the strict rules of keeping heart rate 140bpm have relaxed a bit but its imperative that any pregnant woman does not overheat. ’

How should you exercise during pregnancy?

Although mobility is important, Ms Parker explains that the relaxing hormones released in the later stages of pregnancy make the body more flexible.

This means it’s important to ease off such exercises towards the due date.

Ms Parker’s team ensure their clients gain 300g a week in the second trimester, which Vogue is currently in.

However, she stressed it is not a ‘weigh in’ – but a ‘session to really make sure that all the essential nutrients’ are being met.

It’s important to focus on the emotional aspect of pregnancy too, Ms Parker said.

She added: ‘There’s a scale of how a woman feels that has to be listened to carefully in order to prescribe an effective and ultimately safe routine of both working out, eating well and essentially, resting and making sure that the body has recovery days. ’

The difficulties

This can be particularly challenging for women who suffer from morning, day and night sickness – although Ms Parker explains this generally subsides in the second trimester.

Gaining a large amount of weight during a pregnancy can be difficult, and Ms Parker says that she empathises with such women, as she experienced the same issue during her own three pregnancies – something she says contributed to her ‘debilitating’ post-natal depression.

Although there is pressure on celebrities to look good during and after their pregnancies, Ms Parker says that the ‘race-to-get-your-body-back competition’ is over.

Working out and eating well during pregnancy does have some serious health benefits, explains the health and wellness expert, such as decreasing the risk of gestational diabetes and speeding up recovery time.

IS PIPPA MIDDLETON’S FATHER-IN-LAW CAUGHT UP IN A RAPE SCANDAL?

Multi-millionaire David Matthews, 74, has been accused of raping two women, one of which was a minor.

David, who is father to Made In Chelsea alumni Spencer and Pippa Middleton’s husband James, has also been accused of forcing a woman, who is now in her 60s, to have sex with him in the 1980s.

She reported her claims about Matthews to South Yorkshire Police.

The second allegation came last month after Matthews, who owns the luxury hotel Eden Rock in St Barths, was quizzed by French prosecutors over claims he raped a minor, which he strenuously denied.

He was arrested at a Paris airport and appeared in court after a woman, now aged 35, told police he carried out two offences between 1998 and 1999, when she was 15 and he in his 50s.

One was allegedly in Paris and the other on the Caribbean island of St Barths.

Matthews vehemently denied the younger woman’s allegations, with friends suggested he is the victim of a ‘revenge’ plot.
