Let’s be honest, when you’re planning your ultimate spa break these days, not only do you check the treatments on offer, whether or not they will allow a sneaky glass or two to help you relax but you also – and perhaps most importantly – check how Instagrammable it is.

And that’s exactly why Andronis Arcadia in Santorini quite rightfully deserved a coveted spot on my Instagram feed.
Andronis Arcadia, the newest addition to the Andronis luxury hotel family, is in prime position for the iconic Santorini view. Each of the 53 rooms are a luxury suite, with their own infinity pool overlooking the stunning Aegean sea with the sun perfectly positioned centre stage in the sky from all outlooks.
The vibe in Andronis Arcadia is chilled luxury, the perfect combination of everything you can think of – incredible dining, a luxury poolside, great music, 400% cotton sheets and huge fluffy bathrobes. Thankfully, it’s not a stuffy spa and the relaxed vibe allows you to enjoy dinner without whispering and let you hair down on your private terrace with your in-room Bluetooth speaker blasting your own tunes.
The food is truly a gastronomic experience, with the head chef explaining his ambition was to ensure breakfast and lunch are equally as important as dinner so every meal is a treasure, a delicious combination of taste, flavour and experience drawing from the rich Greek heritage and traditions. Think bunches of lavender, oregano and sage sat atop every table rather than flowers, and many local wines to sip from nearby vineyards.
The Evexia Spa, which uses natural and organic Ira products, has 5 treatment rooms and is warm, welcoming and incredibly comfortable. A deep tissue relaxing massage felt like every muscle in my body had been pummelled and and unknotted. I underestimated the strength of the slight woman who introduced herself as my masseur as her perfect technique of firm pressure without hurting was nothing short of bliss.
If you’re feeling brave, opt for the Knebb path – a hot and cold water pathway which stimulates energy and circulation and is wonderful for the mind and body alike.
Andronis’s collective of hotels includes a Wellness sister hotel, a 10 minute drive from Arcadia where daily yoga and a swim-in cave are highlights and Luxury Villas which give an exciting insight into the other side of the island. Set amongst the cliffside overlooking the sea, you walk through immaculate white cobbled streets which feel like you’re in Capri to find a stunning platform and fairy-lit restaurant offering a spectacular menu and romantic setting.
Andronis Arcadia is a perfect destination for a girly long break spa weekend, family week or romantic break away. You will struggle to find better food, spa or accommodation anywhere else. And for that ultimate instagrammable moment, the likes will be pouring in.
