These are the most popular work shoes in the world with 28000 people on their waiting list

When you hear workwear, you undoubtedly picture unflattering suits, bland colours and questionable kitten heels.

Thankfully times are slowly shifting, and as more millennials grow into fully functioning adults (argh), those office uniforms are getting more and more stylish.

We’re moving away from tired, orthopaedic footwear, and now the world’s most popular footwear choice for young workers has amassed a waiting list of 28,000 people just hours after they launched.

San Francisco-based Everlane is a firm favourite with Hollywood stars including Angelina Jolie and Meghan Markle, and rightly spotted a gap in the market for the chic, yet sensible heels that were missing from women’s workwear.

The aptly named Day Heel maybe isn’t the ultimate purchase for those looking for a bargain, with a price tag of $207(£157), but they show no signs of going out of style anytime soon, so could be a great investment piece.

After initially launching in just a handful of colours, the range has been expanded to include two different core styles – the original Day Heel, and the Day High Heel (a higher version) – available in pretty much any colour you can think of (OK, 16 colours, but who even knows 16 colours? ).

They’re a high-quality shoe available in 100% Italian leather or suede – the latter probably not an ideal choice for Brits with winter weather fast approaching.

The two-inch heel is a comfortable and flattering choice, and given its popularity among office workers as well as influencers, it’s easy to see why.

One of Everlane’s customers praised the Day Heel’s soft materials, commenting: “I just love how the leather of this shoe moulds to my foot – the soft elastic keeps it in place without any pinching. ”

We’ll be adding these to our baskets ASAP (…or joining the queue).
