The St. Maarten Carnival is actually the longest in the Caribbean, giving revelers, honeymooners, and vacationers the most time to enjoy the island’s colorful and Instagram-worthy events. From April 12 through May 3 (yes, a whopping 22 days), St. Maarten is an island-wide party that’s perfect for people of all ages and stages.

The island’s Carnival celebrations are all overflowing with locally-loved Johnny cakes, bright costuming, upbeat music, dancing, and tropical breezes.

No need to be concerned about last year’s hurricane, either, because Princess Juliana Airport has been steadily making improvements to their facilities and now features new departure and arrival pavilions. The temporary pavilions were created specifically with travelers’ comfort in mind and offer several dining and shopping options, as well as easy access to car rentals and other VIP concessions. The airport is also currently hosting nonstop flights from New York, Atlanta, and Miami via JetBlue, Delta Air Lines, and United Airlines, respectively.

Better yet, just about all the hotels on the island are on sale to lure party-minded Americans back to their shores, and you’ll be the one to benefit from their slashed prices. All boutique hotels and guesthouses are open for business and mid-sized properties are either open or soon-to-open. Oyster Bay Beach Resort, Divi Little Bay Beach Resort, and The Villas on Great Bay are just three of the properties planning to reopen their doors throughout April, May, and June, joining already-open properties like Holland House, Belair Beach Hotel, and Simpson Bay Villas, amongst others.

Princess Heights, for example, is offering Spring (April 1 through 30) and Early Summer (now throughApril 10) deals where travelers can book rooms starting at $149 and $125 per night, respectively. Divi Little Bayis also offering a 30 percent discount throughApril 30for any date in 2018.

While St. Maarten Carnival is certainly a major draw for the island right now, you’ll probably want to come back over and over thanks to pristine, soft sand beaches, world-class scuba and snorkeling options, international dining, and a variety of hotel styles and price points that suit just about every style of traveler.
