The Natural Energy Vortexes to Visit When You Need to Recharge

Have you ever wondered why some places on earth make you feel a certain way? Like how sitting on a beach can give you extra chill vibes, while New York City streets make you want to rip your hair out?

As it turns out, it may be because of the location’s energy. Unforeseen forces can literally draw us to certain locations.

“Everything is energy and everything is vibrating,” says energy healing therapist Marci Baron, who explains that certain places are more energetically charged than others. These spots, called “energy vortexes,” are situated on the earth in such a way that their swirling energy is more easily detected. “These places give off a very strong vibrational frequency, and they’re able to be felt when you allow yourself to tune into that,” she says.

There are several places around the world that are well known for their energetic properties (hey there, Bali), and they have become popular destinations because of it. “The energy of the earth is very strongly felt, so people are drawn to these places,” says Baron.

To best experience the intense energy that these high-vibe spots have to offer, Baron suggests being quiet, sitting still, and tuning in by meditating, doing breathing exercises or taking a moment to watch the sunrise or sunset. “What you feel will be different for every person,” she explains. “Each individual person will have their own experience. ” Most people who experience it, however, describe the moment as mesmerizing.

If you can manage to swing an energetically-charged vacation, below are 10 places to consider. But if you can’t make it to one of these extra-charged spots, Baron also notes that you can use the same practices to tune into the energy elsewhere – even in your own backyard. Since every place on earth has energy, tapping into it wherever you are can have some helpful healing properties.
