The Best Shows, Installations, and Pop-Ups During NYCxDesign

agenda

Each May, New York, already a bustling hub of creativity, welcomes even more manifestations of great design during NYCxDesign. Once known as New York Design Week, the event, which encompasses five fairs (ICFF, Wanted Design Brooklyn and Manhattan, Sight Unseen, and BKLYN Designs), has sprawled out in recent years to take over the better part of May and most of the city’s boroughs. From Brooklyn’s Industry City to the Javits Center on the banks of the Hudson River—and everywhere in between—theres’s good design to be seen across the city. So whether you’re a native New Yorker or in town for the fairs, be sure to stop by the dozens of installations, activations, pop-ups, and more taking over the city. Here are our favorites (we’ll update this list daily with new openings over the coming week and a half).
