Lady GongGong, Gaga nabs TWO Oscar nominations, while The Favourite has ten

The nominations for the Oscars 2019 have been revealed, ahead of the ceremony which will take place on 24th February 2019.

Following huge Golden Globes success where The Favourite won Best Leading Actress for Britain’s very own national hero, Olivia Colman, the film has nabbed 10 awards.

Bradley Cooper’s directing debut, A Star Is Born which gave Lady Gaga her first leading movie role has notched up two nominations, while A Star Is Born amassed seven nominations.

In an award season which has been marked by its unpredictability, Glenn Close has a nomination for Best Leading Actress for her role in The Wife and The Green Book, which started the awards race as an outsider but following surprise wins at the Golden Globes, is now a firm favourite for Oscars glory, has four nominations.
