Joe Jonas may be in the middle of a real estate swap-up. The former Jonas Brothers band member and current DNCE front man recently put his luxurious Sherman Oaks, California, farmhouse on the market for $4. 25 million, just six months after he and fiancée Sophie Turner were spotted apartment hunting together in New York City.
The singer purchased the then brand-new home for $3. 7 million in February 2016, and the 5,600-square-foot house is in just as pristine condition as when he bought it. The four-bedroom, six-bathroom house is dubbed “The Sutton House” and sits behind a set of gates on an otherwise calm and coveted street.
Just inside the front door, a wide center hall entrance gallery with stairs leading up to the second floor greets guests.
A spacious living area, comprised of adjoining living and dining rooms, sits off to one side of the main entrance hallway, with clean white walls and a modernly chic fireplace in the living room and a stylish, angular light fixture in the dining room helping to modernize the otherwise traditional space.
Elsewhere on the ground floor, the kitchen offers up a crisp contrast of snow-white solid surface countertops and black lacquered cabinetry, with top-of-the-line stainless-steel accessories to match. One end of the kitchen opens through a doorway into a butcher’s pantry and wet bar, and the other end opens onto a window-lined breakfast nook. The family room, which is separated from the kitchen by a long work island, boasts a fireplace flanked on either side by built-in bookcases. A set of accordion folding glass panels open out from the family room onto a farmhouse-style porch that overlooks the backyard.
Elsewhere on the ground floor are a den with custom built-ins that currently hold Jonas’s collection of Jonas Brothers and DNCE memorabilia, as well as a home theater with black leather theater recliners. All four bedrooms can be found upstairs, with two en suite guest bedrooms as well as a junior master bedroom that has its own deluxe bathroom and wardrobe-lined dressing room.
