How to Decorate Your Home Like Kourtney Kardashian This Christmas

While Khloe may take reign on Thanksgiving, it’s the oldest sister who hosts the Kardashian Khristmas (see what we did there? ). Kourtney recently revealed on her app that Christmas is one of her favorite holidays – and she goes all out with decorations to prove it.

The mother of three says she is usually the one to host the entire family on Christmas morning, which gives her an excuse to pull out all her festive decorations and table toppers, including plaid linens, holiday-themed dishes, and sentimental stemware.

Tradition is important to the oldest sister: The Williams-Sonoma linens are used every year, the plates are the ones Kris used when the girls were growing up, and the vintage Baccarat champagne coupes are from her parent’s wedding. “If there are too many people and I don’t have enough glasses, I’ll mix in different styles and alternate between each seat – it looks cool and you don’t even notice,” she said.

The silverware is also a family heirloom: “This vintage gold bamboo silverware is totally over the top, but I love using it for Christmas! This set belonged to my dad – so I love to break it out for holidays when the whole family is together. ”

Look closely at the tablescape and you’ll also notice a festive touch attached to each napkin. No detail is too small for Kourtney. She uses natural twine to tie a sprig of rosemary, a cinnamon stick, and a small jingle bell together.

When it comes to the Christmas trees, she goes big: “The kids love this time of year, so we have a tree in each of their bedrooms and also a bunch of big trees throughout the house,” she shared. “I use faux shearling tree skirts under all the trees in the house. For the kid’s trees, we layer a few Ikea shearling rugs for the same effect to hide the stands. ”

Kourtney decorates the larger trees throughout the house with giant gold ornaments, but thinks it’s important that the kids have fun decorating, too: “I like to let the kids be creative and have fun decorating their own trees,” she writes. “Reign has a bunch of cute handmade stuffed animals, Mason has some cool vintage ornaments and ones with Legos inside the globes, and Penelope’s tree is usually all pink and purple. ”

What’s more, she even decks the halls of her childhood dollhouse, which Kris handmade and had wired for electricity when the girls were little, for Christmas and her three children “LOVE it! ”
