Harry Styles has become the face of Gucci’s Cruise 2019 Tailoring Campaign and we couldn’t be more here for it! Consider this, Harry: The Dandy Farmer.
Not only is the star adorned in the finest wears Gucci has to offer from slick suits to the largest collars you have seen this side of Peter Pan, he is joined by a collection of baby animals.
Shot on location in the Renaissance Gardens in the historic Villa Lante, just on the outskirts of Rome, Harry is photographed feeding a baby piglet – with a headband, naturally – and serving Shepard realness with a lamb over his shoulders.
In perhaps the cutest snap of all, Harry’s face is licked by a baby goat. We have never wanted to be a lamb more. Plus, it’s in black and white. The word ‘delicious’ springs to mind.
The ‘Guccifiying’ of Harry Styles has been long in the making, with the former One Direction star regularly showing his clothing credentials on his first solo world-wide tour wearing Gucci’s Creative Director, Alessandro Michele’s, clothes. The tour ended at Los Angeles in July after Harry being on the road for nearly a year.
Gucci’s latest campaign is a cheeky play on the personality of Harry, with his styling taste reflected in the ‘Shoreditch-fication’ of the Gucci wardrobe. Checked suits are teamed with contrasting printed kimonos and Harry shows he has moved on from the Mick Jagger-esque head scarf and replaced them with a gold metal headband that wouldn’t look out of place on Julius Caesar. Not afraid of a bit of man jewellery, the singer is also seen with a casual tiger broach, many a ring, and a casual sprinkling of crucifixes.
