Grilled Apples: Make This Sweet, 125-Calorie Side Dish In Under 10 Minutes

We’ve all been there–eating the same side salad every day can get a bit bland, especially when you’re craving something sweet–but there’s no reason to reach for an indulgent snack when you can stay on track with a dish that’s both satisfyingand good for you.

Dig Inn’s Grilled Heirloom Apples

Ingredients:

-3 apples, cut into 8ths and cored
-2 Tablespoons olive oil
-Pinch maldon salt

Directions:

  • Place all ingredients in a bowl and toss to coat the apples.
  • Heat up a cast iron or stainless steel pan on medium.
  • Carefully place the apple wedges in the pan and cook on one side for about a minute and a half or until golden and caramelized.
  • Flip over the wedges, cook for one more minute and then remove from heat to a plate.
  • Either serve immediately or chill down before serving. Toss with another touch of olive oil if desired.
