From cramped seats to long lines,traveling can be stressful experience, often made worse by others around you–but Emirates is determined to make the entire process an absolute joy, (at a price, of course).
The airline carrier unveiled their most luxurious first class suites, which are more like hotel accommodations than actual airline seats. Passengers can begin to experience the utmost in luxury as early as December 2017 on the Boeing 777 fleet, which consists of a fully-enclosed, 40-square-foot cabin, complete with a mini bar, 32″-inch, flat-screen television that’s mounted on the wall across the seat, and a pair of pajamas. The updated 777s will feature six new suites per flight.
The cabin features floor-to-ceiling sliding doors which offer passengers maximum privacy for the duration of their flight, with most of the suites boasting a window view. Those with windows come equipped with binoculars, while those without, (featured in the middle aisle), are equipped with “virtual windows” that will livestream views from the plane thanks to external cameras.
The suites come equipped with a full-length closet, full-length mirror, and private storage space for their carry-ons. First class fliers will be able to control the lighting and temperature in their personal cabin at the touch of a button, while the flight crew will be able to serve through a convenient service window so that they don’t disrupt passengers.
Rather than wait for the scheduled meal time, passengers can order dine-on-demand meals using a call feature.
The new 777s will start flying on Dec. 1 on routes from Dubai to Brussels and Geneva and you can price out the route on the Emirates website.
