Emily Blunt led a pink parade on the SAG Awards red carpet

Emily Blunt is fast becoming a red carpet sensation. First there was the powder blue Schiaparelli at last year’s Oscars ceremony.

Then there was the heavenly Oscar de la Renta bubble gown for the premiere of A Quiet Place in New York, and the gothic-inspired floral, embroidered McQueen number earlier this year at the Golden Globes, but it was last night’s Michael Kors Collection dress that we can’t get enough of.

Equipped with an extravagant, ruffled satin collar and sequin gown embellishment, Emily stunned in the punchy pink hue as she stepped up on-stage to collect her award for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actress in a Supporting Role for her appearance in husband John Krasiniski’s post-apocalyptic horror film, A Quiet Place.

Not the only star to opt for the traditionally ‘girly’ hue, however, Barbie’s favourite colour had somewhat of a renaissance last night, with Laura Harrier (below) wearing one of the ceremony’s best looks via fuchsia custom Loewe, Gemma Chan wowing in a powder pink, one-shouldered Oscar de la Renta gown and Yara Shahidi stepping out in a shimmering Fendi couture jumpsuit in the same shade.

Is it irrational that we now want to reignite our love affair with the colour, and bring back all the bold pink dresses we deemed ‘tacky’ a mere few years ago? Perhaps. But we’re doing it regardless.
