Rumours have been swirling for months over whether or not super model, Hailey Baldwin is dating the singer with the dreamiest face in the music business, Shawn Mendes.
But after appearing arm in arm at the Met Gala red carpet 2018, the pair seemed to be officially dating – and Hailey Baldwin’s smile seemed to say it all.
However, days later the dream of Hai-awn (bear with us as it’s a working title) is left in tatters after the singer spoke to W Magazine about the budding relationship.
“We’re really good friends,” he said. “It’s funny, she’s such a pro with this type of stuff. I want it to be amazing for her, so I’ve been trying for the past 24 hours to be really silly so that she stays on. I’m happy to walk with her – she’s amazing. ” Is this an official friend-zoning situation? It jolly-well looks like it!
The pair recently appeared all over each other’s Instagram feeds of late, with Shawn posting a suggestive snap of the pair to his 30. 6 million followers. The fans spiraled, as did the rumours.
Hailey and Shawn weren’t the only pair seemingly taking things up a notch at the Met Gala 2018, with Riverdale co-stars, Cole Sprouse and Lili Reinhart also appearing on the red carpet together for the first time.
It seemed that the Met Gala provided quite the love in – and with the church theme pushed to the fore, perhaps it won’t be long until some of the other couples takes some inspiration from the Met Gala exhibit itself and walk down that aisle… just not Hailey and Shawn, apparently.
