Chris Brown and Rihanna broke up back in February 2009 after Chris physically assaulted the singer and was sentenced to five years probation and 180 days of community labour.
And it seems that Rihanna’s fans are still keen to protect her from her ex-boyfriend, especially via social media.
Instagram was ablaze this morning after Chris commented on a photo of a lingerie-clad Rihanna.
The singer took to Instagram to share a photo laying in bed donning just her red Savage x Fenty underwear range, stockings and a pair of stilettos.
Rihanna’s fans were quick to notice that Chris commented with a flushed face emoji – and they weren’t too happy about it.
Fans took to the comments sections in their droves to blast Chris for sharing a comment, with one fan writing: “big f–king stupid she doesnt want to hear from you”, and another adding: “You are not a man. You’re just a shame. Go away. ”
Other fans urged Chris to ‘get away’ from Rihanna, while some rushed to defend him by telling fans that the incident was ten years ago and they needed to ‘move on’.
Rihanna is yet to comment on the uproar, however, she did take to Instagram stories to share some excerpts from the Bible, including: “You do not have to go backward” and “I am going to stand strong in the power of God until He delivers me. ”
We bet she wasn’t expecting that kind of reaction!
