It seems like just yesterday that Chloë Grace Moretz and Brooklyn Beckham were happily in love, but it’s believed they called time on their relationship in July 2018 after four on-off years together.
Since then, Brooklyn has reportedly been moving on with model, Lexi Wood, after they were spotted packing on the PDA at the start of August while Brooklyn got a new tattoo in Hollywood.
Speaking about the photos, Chloë explained to the Sunday Times:
“I want nothing to be said…I’m not a big fan of PDAs in general. I personally don’t want to see people posted all over my phone making out. ” Eek. Fair play! No one wants to see their ex snogging someone else, like, ever.
Also in the interview, she opened up about how difficult it is to be in the limelight and have a relationship. She explains that they were “hunted” down by the press to “excessive points”, but that it’s “nearly impossible” to date someone who isn’t in the industry, because of how “shocking” it can be.
The couple started dating in 2014 – on and off – but confirmed they were back on in May 2016. After that, their sweet social media posts about each other kept us smiling during the muggiest of summer days.
The former GLAMOUR cover star said that Brooklyn reminded her how beautiful she is, even when she’s having a bad day.
“My boyfriend is a huge support. I mean, don’t get me wrong, I don’t need a man for anything, but when I’m feeling bad about myself, he’s like, ‘Stop. Look at what you say in interviews. Look at what you stand for. Listen to your own words, because you’re as beautiful as you say you are! All young women are more beautiful than they think, you know. And I like you more in sweatpants than I do when you’re on a red carpet. ’ And it’s nice to have a young man who’s 17 years old be able to look at a woman that way. I think it means we’re on the right track. ” she said.
It was a complicated road for them, having hidden their relationship for a little while. She gushed about Brooklyn on The Talk and revealed why they finally admitted they were together. She said: “We were always running from people taking pictures of us. And we were like, ‘You know what? It’s affecting our relationship’.
“We weren’t able to go to the restaurants we wanted to go to or just go to a movie,” she continued.
“And so we thought,’You know what? If we’re more upfront about it and we break down the iron curtain and we just let them take our photo, they’re not going to care’. ”
The pair obviously had a special place in each other’s lives, and we hope they both find happiness.
